Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant (CA qualified or near completion) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organisation by reviewing the work of junior accountants, providing expert advice to clients, and actively engaging with new clients. Internally, the employee will interact closely with junior accountants, senior management, and various departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Externally, the employee will engage with clients to provide financial advice, address queries, and foster strong relationships.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or near completion;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven experience in reviewing the work of junior accountants;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Ability to provide strategic tax and financial advice to clients.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in client acquisition and business development; and
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Xero, MYOB, FYI Docs and HandiSoft.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations;
  • Providing expert tax and financial advice to clients to support their business objectives;
  • Actively engaging new clients and fostering long-term relationships;
  • Collaborating with internal teams to optimise processes and enhance client satisfaction.

Accountabilities and KPIs:

  • Timely completion of client reviews with minimal errors (KPI: Review completion rate);
  • Acquisition of new clients and successful conversion (KPI: Client acquisition rate); and
  • Client satisfaction and retention (KPI: Client feedback score).

This position is full-time. Salary package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
