Alex Flyak is the Managing Partner of AFP Accounting, Tax & Business Advisory, in Sydney.
Alex became the Managing Partner of AFP in 2014 following several years delivering specialist tax, accounting, forensic, management accounting, financial planning, facilitating finance arrangements for family businesses and corporate entities. He also has a proven record of dealing with complex tax and compliance engagements, group restructuring, audit and reporting matters.
With more than 17 years in professional practice assisting clients in a broad range of industry sectors including professional services, industrial services, industrial products, construction and consumer, Alex’s strengths lie in his ability to help clients plan and create a platform for their future success by providing a thorough, creative and proactive approach with tax planning and business advice.
Alex has a particular interest and passion for developing and connecting future leaders – both inside and outside of the AFP team. He takes an engaging and positive leadership approach to empower teams to play to their strengths, reach their full potential, and make an impact that matters to them.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Business Accounting, Alex is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Tax Institute of Australia – a designation that is internationally recognised and respected as a mark of technical excellence and professional integrity representing the pinnacle of the profession.
